Continuing pastoral care

Learning to live with high sensitivity

15-20% of all people are considered highly sensitive. Their pronounced ability to perceive is a special challenge for those affected, which requires concrete coping strategies. In further education we work on the phenomenon of high sensitivity from three perspectives:

  1. What does high sensitivity mean and with what opportunities and limits do affected people live?
  2. How can pastoral workers promote the resources of highly sensitive people seeking advice and help them in setting boundaries?
  3. What challenges do highly sensitive pastors face and what potential can they use in their work?

In this further education, we want to ask ourselves these questions through inputs, working in groups and interviews with those affected, and to provide support for pastoral care.
